It is an unfortunate reality in our young profession that far too many coaches struggle to make a good living doing what they love. Far too many coaches stall, or plateau well below where they want to be. Over the past 17 years, I have spent a lot of time researching what does and does not work in terms of building successful coaching practices. For my book MARKETING ESSENTIALS FOR COACHES, I interviewed over 100 successful coaches, and in my years volunteering at the ICF I talked with countless experts in the fields of coaching and marketing all around the world. I have also personally trained and mentored hundreds and hundreds of coaches.
The bottom line of all this is, if you are a good coach, and if you are committed to put in at least a few hours a week, you can build the practice you want. Program Length
There is no short cut to extraordinary success. Meaningful change takes time, focus, commitment and benefits from a systematic approach with accountability. Coaches have some habits they need to build on, and others they need to grow beyond. And while I always allow any participant to withdraw at any time if they are not getting great value, I strongly recommend you commit yourself to the full year-long program to receive the greatest benefit.
Monthly Learning Calls
Most coaches who are well along in their training, have learned the basics of giving sample sessions, but few have really found their niche full of ideal clients, correctly branded and positioned themselves, developed contact strategies that build on their strengths, learned how to leverage themselves, raised their profile in their market, figured out social media, generated passive income, have a web site that attracts a steady stream of ideal clients, developed support structures, or otherwise done the things they need to begin to work "on" their business instead of "in" their business.
Also few coaches have devoted the time to raise their coaching, self-confidence and interpersonal skills to a level where they can optimize the changes their clients want to make. (The more value you create for your clients, the easier your marketing job is.)
One of the cornerstones of this program will be monthly, one-hour long, group learning calls where we focus on a range of topics (most useful to the group) including:
- Envisioning, designing and getting inspired by your ideal practice that is deeply aligned to who you are.
- Identifying your niche or ideal clients - that place where you are called to make a difference - and learning what they really need you for, and why you are a much better solution than what they are trying now. (Finding out where your unique passions and strengths meet your market's greatest need.)
- Learning how to develop your programs and content, and how to package, price and position yourself in the market with a variety of service offerings. (So you have more services to offer your clients.)
- Learning which of the many proven marketing strategies - that with full integrity and authenticity - will help you best raise your profile, build long-term relationships and attract your ideal clients. (Which will vary depending on your personality, experience, where you live and who you want to work with.)
- Learning advanced rapport building, empathy, and emotional intelligence skills to set better coaching relationship, communicate more effectively and help clients get much better results.
- Learning advanced stress management and developmental psychology skills for better self-management and to create far more value for your clients.

Weekly Accountability Calls
Coaches, like all independent professionals, work far below their potential simply because they lack simple support and accountability structures. This is particularly true for people who have never worked on their own before, but even long-time solopreneurs rarely have the support they need.
In the 6-Figure Mentoring Program you will choose a small group or learning partner (buddy) to share weekly accountability/learning calls with. In these calls you will go through your Weekly Action Planner (our course accountability process) and set priorities, plan actions, and reflect on key learnings. The support of these calls play a critical part in helping you make the important changes required to get radically better results.
Monthly 1 to 1 Calls With Steve
This program includes a monthly 1 to 1 coaching session with me to give you the individualized attention you need to maximize your growth and development as a coach and marketer.
This is not a one-size-fits-all program. Together, we will find your unique niche, establish your brand and position in the market, and develop the contact strategies (web marketing, networking, workshops, talks, writing, newsletters, social marketing, etc.) that will work best for you,

The 6 Figure Practice Mentor Program for Coaches has been awarded continuing coaching education approval in the following continuing education categories:
- 2 hours, ICF Core Competencies
- 10 hours Resource Development (Personal Development of the Coach and Development of Coaching Practice
Please note that ICF regulations require that a participant must complete the entire program to qualify for the CEU credits. Also note that CEU credits are subject to change. Finally, be aware that participants can typically count a good portion of their 1 to 1 time with Steve towards the mentor coach time requirements associated with various credentials.
Who's This For?
This mentoring program is designed for professional coaches who; know how to coach, (have begun or are well into their training), who dislike the conventional "sales" based approaches of having to tract down and contact so many prospects, or have been out there for a few years and are ready to take it to the next level. It is aimed at coaches who want to master their profession and are serious about breaking past their current limitations and creating an extraordinary life and practice doing what they love.
Who is Not A Good Fit For
This program is not intended for individuals who have yet to take any coach training. Nor is it intended for coaches who are unprepared to let go of what they already know and open themselves to bigger possibilities. Nor is it intended for coaches who just want to take a course but are not really willing to move through the discomfort of change. (The biggest challenges are always solved by growing past our current limitations.)
This program has a blend of components for different learning styles. There will be individualized 1 to 1 work with me, independent small group work, and large group sessions that are content rich teleclasses. If you are not prepared to flex into these different learning styles, or if you are in a big hurry and only want individualized attention, I suggest you consider 1 to 1 coaching.
Also please note that this a mentoring program, in that I will be heavily sharing the experience of many other successful coaches to shorten your learning curve. If you do not like to benefit from the advice, information and success strategies of other coaches, I would recommend you seek 1 to 1 coaching.
Finally, this program is a focused collaboration that will require your sustained commitment and effort.
Date and Time
I try to reserve time to run this program at least twice a year. Typically we start one in January and one in September. We schedule the group calls to accommodate world-wide participation. (Contact me at steve@acoach4u.com for the next session details.)

Between sessions, I also reserve some time to do 1 to 1 work with those on the waiting list, who do not want to simply wait and would prefer to get started early.
The Investment
The goal of this program is to help you build a successful coaching practice, where you are working with people you love. The structure of this program helps you do that at a fraction of what it would cost you to hire a senior mentor coach on a full 1 to 1 basis. (Many mentors charge $500 - 750 per month and require a 6 month or year long commitment.)
This program is designed to deliver all the knowledge and support you need at $229 per month (paid monthly). (Canadian participants pay C$229 plus applicable GST or HST)
Satisfaction Guarantee
Coaches considering this course should be prepared to make a mental commitment to stay with it for a year. However, you can withdraw at any time if you decide it is not a great fit or if you do not feel you are getting great value.
